My name is Maria.

I’ve never been particularly good at having just one interest.

I’m a linguist by education and have spent many years working in procurement and office management, so organisation, details and getting things done come naturally to me. But my creative side clearly has other plans 😄

I make jewellery, create home décor, experiment with candles, explore numerology and regularly find something new I absolutely need to learn how to make.

That curiosity is how ScandiZen came to life.

I love beautiful details, meaningful things and anything made by actual human hands. Numerology also finds its way into what I create. I believe numbers, symbols and energies can offer a different perspective and sometimes a little nudge in the right direction.

Why do I do it? Because creating gives me a place to slow down, follow my curiosity and turn an idea into something real.
And I love the thought that something I make with my own hands can eventually become someone else’s little favourite thing.

Sometimes it’s meaning. Sometimes intuition. Sometimes the numbers have something to say.
And sometimes I simply make something because it looks good.
